About Me:

I am your brand new Applied Design Librarian (a.k.a. BTAD librarian!) and I'm here to help navigate the resources and tools available to students in the MMDP and affiliate programs, as well as other students in other programs across campus. Before joining LWTC I was working as a professional archivist at a medical archives, a consulting archivist for the Zine Archives and Publishing Project (ZAPP) at Richard Hugo House, a project archivist in the University of Washington Libraries Special Collections Division, as well as many other volunteer and project-driven responsibilities.

As an undergraduate I studied printmaking and graphic design, papermaking, sculpture, drawing, photography, and human interface design. These skills have been a solid foundation for my interest in graphic design, website design and development, human-computer interaction, and assistive technologies.

I am interested in your experiences and interaction with the Learning Commons and would like to hear your comments, suggestions, and feedback.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with information resources and tools
  • Raising awareness and proficiency in Information and Technical Literacy
  • Usability studies
  • Social media
  • Blogging and twittering
